DANCE-Aimee is using her scholarship to further her dance studies this summer by attending the Gus College/Pro Intensive at Gus Giordano Dance School in Chicago, Illinois. Aimee believes attending this intensive will assist her in becoming a more well rounded dancer. Working on her technique and strength at this school will help further assist in discovering the kind of artist that she wants to be. Aimee is a 2nd year recipient and one of our recipients this year of "The Cleo Award" in honor of educator, Minnie Cleo Spiva Speak.
DANCE-Cooper is using his scholarship to study at The Dallas Conservatory in Dallas, Texas. Cooper is interested in this program so he can get more training in ballet and contemporary from some of the top teachers in the country. He feels this will better his technique and learn new skills to use in his future. Cooper is a 2nd year recipient of our scholarships.
INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC/VIOLA-Matthew is using his scholarship to study at Heartland Chamber Music Festival in Overland Park, Kansas. This scholarship will help assist me to get closer to what I would like to do, which is be a classical musician or an orchestra teacher. This helps me pursue my dreams with music.
DANCE-Lillian will be using her scholarship at Kansas City Jazz Dance Intensive "Move the World Experience" in Kansas City, Missouri. Lillian is planning to pursue dance in college and one of her goals for her senior year is to become more versatile in different styles of dance. With the range of classes that KCJDI will offer, it will fit her needs perfectly. Lillian is a 2nd year recipient of our scholarships.
INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC/VIOLIN-Aaron will be using his scholarship at Heartland Chamber Music Summer Festival in Overland Park, Kansas. Aaron wants a career as a musician and this scholarship will help him interact and communicate with other musicians in the same profession. INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC/CLARINET-George will be using his scholarship to further his studies in music with Master Classes at University of Kansas Midwestern Music Camp this summer. He chose this music camp because of the great things about their professors and wanted a chance to get to talk to them and learn from them. It will assist in his artistic goals because it will not only help increase his own skill level in playing an instrument, but also directly influence his ability to inspire others and show them what art is about. He feels this will be a way to learn skills that are benefical to assist him when he is leading his school's marching band as the Drum Leader next year.

Since 2014, we have awarded 48 scholarships investing over $20,000.00 in summer artistic training for KC metropolitan students.
Our scholarships are designed for students that are aspiring to greater artistic development. We support local students in summer camps or intensives in many different areas of the arts in different locations. Applications are available online at the first of the year prior to the summer term for students to apply.
We are thrilled to announce that we have awarded 48 scholarships to local area students for summer artistic training since 2014. Our scholarships also support the arts facility where our students have chosen to study bringing support also to the arts community. We seek to serve, support, and strengthen the arts community.
Help us make a difference in the lives of students in our community. Every dollar donated goes directly to support tuition costs for students to learn in their designated arts field through our annual Student INSPIRE Scholarship Program.
